Takes the first call properly, before it reaches a lawyer.
A new enquiry is worth a lot, and taking it costs paid time. Orastra runs the first conversation and hands you a written-up case.
Four jobs, in a firm.
Takes the details, in order
What happened, when, who's involved, what they want. Written down in full before anyone bills a minute.
Turns away work you don't do
If it isn't the kind of law you practise, they're told straight away rather than costing you a callback.
Never gives legal advice
It collects facts. It does not advise. That line is absolute, and anything near it goes to a person.
Answers the “how does this work” questions
Your fees and how they work, what to bring, how long things take. From your own material, at any hour.
From first contact to done.

What firms ask first.
Will it give legal advice?
No. That rule is absolute and it is the clearest hand-over trigger in the system. It takes information and explains how your process works. It never tells anyone where they stand.
What about conflict checks and confidentiality?
It collects the details a conflict check needs and passes them to you. It does not run the check or make that call. Chats sit in a space only your firm can see, encrypted while they travel, and are never used to train an AI.
Can I limit it to office hours?
Your hours control what it offers and books. Whether it answers outside them is up to you. Most firms find the out-of-hours calls are exactly where the value is.
